FIRST Tech Challenge
FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
Our Support
The WV Robotics Alliance coordinates with schools, universities, and other partners to provide equipment, mentorship, and support for teams throughout the state.
FIRST Tech Challenge is presented by FIRST, a US-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. FIRST’s mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
