COVERAGE
What is COVERAGE?
Competition of VEX Educational Robotics to Advance Girls Education (COVERAGE) is a project to inspire and support female middle and high school students to pursue STEM careers in West Virginia. Through attendance and participation in the robotics clubs and competitions, these students are predicted to become more knowledgeable and interested in STEM disciplines. COVERAGE is funded by the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation and has helped teachers to organize all-girls robotics clubs in Kanawha, Fayette, Lincoln, Putnam, and Clay Counties.
The COVERAGE program provides support to robotics teams with majorty female presence in the VEX IQ Robotics Competition, and/or RECF Aerial Drone Competition. In addition, we have equipment grants available for VIQC and ADC teams.
